Plastic Surgery is a very unique and broad based speciality that covers many areas of the body as well a multitude of varying problems. Instead of being limited to a certain set of procedures, plastic surgeons training is directed more toward developing a skill set that can be applied to a multitude of problems. This type of training and develped skill set makes plastic surgeons quite useful working outside of the United States. There are numerous charitable organizations that provide these opportunities to plastic surgeons.
Personal Faith frequently leads people toward opportunities to provide care to underpriviledged people in many different enviroments. Dr. Fulks has been active in Central America. In spite of trips to Mexico and Panama, Dr. Fulks has made a personal commitment to serve the needs of the people of Guatemala through an organization known as Health Talents. This organization has a strong pressence in that country and provide an ongoing medical care to the people of the area. With years of experience and an enormously talent Board of Directors, Health Talents provides very high quality medical and surgical care to the people of South Western Guatemala.
