Revisional Breast Surgery
Revisional breast surgery is not an uncommon event. Implant rupture, continual effects of gravity, changes in the patient's weight, effects of pregnancy or simply disappointment with previous outcome will unfortunately lead some patients back to the operating room. Some studies have shown re-operation rates approximating 20% across the United States even if the surgery is performed by Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Essentially all plastic surgeons have a significant experience operating on other surgeon's patients and their own. The cases seen in this page were not originally done in our practice...however, we are not implying any immunity to revisional surgery. These cases are complex and the nature of each patient is difficult to explain in this context. However, the problem and the subsequent revised outcome is apparent.
